
Tri-Tip Roast
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pound Tri-tip roast
- 1 tsp Dried thyme
- 1 tsp Dried basil
- 1 tsp Dried marjoram
- 1 tsp Dry mustard
- Kosher salt to taste
- Ground black pepper to taste
- 1/3 cup Red wine
- 1 tbsp Olive oil
Instructions
- Rub roast all over with thyme, basil, marjoram, mustard, salt, pepper. Place meat in sealable plastic bag, seal and refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight. Pour red wine in with meat 4 hours before cooking
- Preheat oven to 450 degrees F. Drizzle olive oil over bottom of roasting pan
- Place meat in roasting pan
- Roast in preheated oven for 15 minutes. Reduce oven temperature to 350 degrees F and continue roasting meat until slightly pink in center, approximately 20 more minutes. Thermometer should read 140 degrees F.
- Let rest for 10 minutes before thinly slicing against grain
- Serve and enjoy!
