Rump Roast

  • 4 tbsp Brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp Mrs.Dash Seasoning
  • 1 tbsp Smoked paprika
  • 1 tbsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Kosher salt


  • 4 pounds Rump roast


  • Pat rump roast dry with paper towels
  • Sprinkle beef rub over all sides and rub into meat
  • Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (or overnight)
  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees F
  • Add roast to Dutch oven or braising pan with 1 cup of liquid (beef broth or water). Cover and cook for 1 1/2 hours or until internal temperature reaches 145 degrees F.
  • Allow roast to rest for 10 minutes before slicing
  • Slice, serve and enjoy!
